The Figures at Large series aims to reinterpret the presence of ornament within domestic space.
The project was conceived as a system to be deployed throughout the interior, attaching itself to door frames, switch plates, and wall corners. Composed of metal plates and small pins, the ensemble brings forth “low-resolution” images, creating a light and suggestive figurative language that avoids fixed representation and remains open to interpretation and imagination. Conceived as polymorphic organisms, these “neo-ornaments” become mediators through which our relationship to space can evolve and renew itself, turning the interior into a terrain for expression and experimentation.
